Key Activities
As Patient Advocates United defines its initial key activities and initiatives, it is obtaining input from its Board of Directors and Patient Ambassador Council to consider launching initiatives that may include:
Education
Reports and educational campaigns about navigating insurance and assist patients with their insurance coverage issues
Advocacy
Advocating for patient-centric government and payer policies to encourage innovation and access to all available therapies for a wide range of rare and chronic diseases
Research Support
Support for the life sciences and biosciences field to facilitate the pursuit of new treatments and therapies (as well as ensuring patient access to them upon approval)
Sponsorship
Sponsorship of a patient advocacy school to educate patients on how to navigate the health care system and strategies to appeal health insurance coverage decisions
